The JW-C40 is a dedicated surge protective device engineered for photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage DC systems. It safeguards critical equipment such as inverters, controllers, and battery management systems from lightning-induced surges and transient overvoltages, preventing costly damage and downtime in solar and storage installations.
2. Ultra-Fast Nanosecond Response with High Surge Capacity
Featuring a high-performance surge suppression mechanism, the JW-C40 conducts within nanoseconds when overvoltage occurs, diverting surge currents up to 40kA safely to ground. This rapid response ensures minimal voltage rise, protecting sensitive DC components from the destructive effects of sudden electrical spikes.
3. Flexible Configuration for Diverse System Needs
Available in 2P and 3P pole configurations, the JW-C40 supports multiple DC voltage ratings (200V, 500V, 800V, 1000V), making it adaptable to various PV string voltages and energy storage system designs. Its modular form factor enables straightforward integration into standard distribution panels.
4. Optional Remote Monitoring for Predictive Maintenance
The remote communication variant offers real-time status monitoring and fault alarming, allowing operators to proactively address SPD degradation or failure. This smart feature eliminates the need for manual inspections, enhancing system reliability in remote or large-scale installations.
